Detailed Itinerary: Berlin to Copenhagen

Day 1: Berlin, Germany (Embarkation)

Board the ship in the late afternoon (around 6:00pm) and check into the cabins. Welcome cocktail in the lounge followed by the presentation of the crew. And dinner on board. Overnight stop.

Day 2: Berlin - Spandau - Eberswalde

Buffet breakfast on the cruise. Arrive in Henningsdorf around 8am. Point of departure by coach for the optional guided tour of Berlin, a city boasting several prestigious museums, as well as an intense intellectual and artistic life. Berlin attracts visitors especially those loving culture and sensitive to geopolitical developments of the twentieth century. Once the symbol of world division into two seperate blocks, by virtue of its own particular position, today Berlin is a metropolis with a modern urban planning and a dynamic economic and cultural life. Back aboard the ship in Lehnitz for lunch before sailing on to Eberswalde in the afternoon. You will discover beautiful scenery along the route, unspoiled nature, fauna and flora. We arrive in Eberswalde in the evening. Dinner on board. Overnight stop.

Day 3: Eberswalde - Oderberg - Stolpe - Szczecin (Poland)

Early departure. We will take the boat lift in Niederfinow, an extraordinary metal building that was built from 1927 to 1934. Buffet breakfast while cruising before arriving in Oderberg around 9 am. Oderbeg is the starting point of the optional excursion to the Cistercian monastery of Chorin. On the edge of open moorland of the Schorfheide, ranked world reserve of biosphere by UNESCO, stands the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Brandenburg, Chorin Abbey. Back aboard th ship in Stolpe for lunch.

During the afternoon, take the opportunity to admire the exceptional landscapes that this cruise has to offer as we pass through the Oder valley, with its exceptional scenery. Dinner and an entertaining evening on board, before arriving in Szczecin. Overnight stop.

Day 4: Szczecin - Wolgast

Buffet breakfast on board. Morning devoted to the optional guided tour of Szczecin, a port city with a rich tradition and a remarkable story. Diverse heritage, made up of many old buildings and modern ones, makes the city vibrant. Back on board for lunch and cruise departure towards Wolgast. We cross the impressive port Szczecin. Dinner on board. Evening arrival at Wolgast. Overnight stop.

Day 5 : Wolgast - Peenemünde - Usedom - Rugen Island - Lauterbach

After a buffet breakfast, start cruising toward Peenemünde. Town on the Baltic Sea and the estuary of the Peene on the island of Usedom. Departure by coach for the optional tour of the island of Usedom, in the Baltic Sea and the Peeneestuary and one of the largest islands of Germany. A nature reserve protects its white sandy beaches, forests, bogs and lakes. A remarkable seaside architecture has been preserved. Meanwhile, the ship sails to Peenemunde where we will join it for lunch. Continue to Lauterbach. In the afternoon, from where an optional excursion is organised to tour the island of Rügen, the largest island of Germany. The coasts of chalk cliffs are a symbol of Rügen, an island rough and delighted in the Baltic Sea. Discover the beautiful scenery and splendor of nature. Dinner on board. Overnight stop at Lauterbach. 

Day 6: Lauterbach - Stralsund

Early departure towards Greifswald. Buffet breakfast on board. Departure by coach for the optional tour of Greifswald which has retained its authenticity. You will discover the major monuments such as the City Hall (1738), the houses, the Cathedral of St. Nicolas (100 meters high). Back on board around 11:00 am and cruise departure towards Stralsund. Lunch on board. Arrival around 14:00hours. Afternoon dedicated to optional tour of Stralsund. This medieval town on the Baltic coast, was an important commercial center of the Hanseatic League in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Back on board in the late afternoon. Dinner and gala evening. Overnight stop.

Day 7: Stralsund (Disembarkation) - Sassnitz (Ferry)- Trelleborg - Copenhagen

Buffet breakfast on board. Departure by bus during the morning, around 9:00am in the direction towards Sassnitz that we will achieve in the late morning, around 10:30am. Embark on a 4-hour ferry crossing to Trelleborg , where you will have a lunch on your own. Upon our arrival, continue by coach towards Copenhagen where we will arrive in the evening. Orientation tour of the city before setting into your 3 star hotel (local standards). Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Copenhagen (Denmark)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. This morning will be devoted entirely to the discovery of Copenhagen, lively and welcoming, it reflects the character of the Danes. Morning guided tour of the city. You will discover the main monuments of the Danish capital. Our visit will begin with the Christiansborg Castle seat of Danish Parliament, Amalienborg Palace the official residence of Queen Margrete. Then you will see the imposing three-story fountain Gefion. Further, on the waterfront, you can see the Little Mermaid. Finally, you can admire one of the most beautiful churches in Denmark and the Rosenborg Castle, which contains the personal collections of the royal family. By late morning, departure to Copenhagen airport. End of our services.

Day 1: Copenhagen (Embarkation)

Check in Copenhagen, welcome and guided tour of the city. You will discover the principal monuments of the Danish capital. Our tour will begin at Christiansborg Castle, the seat of the Danish Parliament, the Amalienborg Palace, official residence of Queen Margrethe. You will then see the imposing, three-storey Gefion fountain. Further on, on the sea front, you can see the Little Mermaid. At the end of the afternoon, booking into the 2-star hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2:Copenhagen - Trelleborg - Sassnitz - Stralsund (Embarkation)

After breakfast, departure by coach from Copenhagen to Trelleborg. Arrival around 10.00am and boarding the ferry for the sea crossing to Rostock (duration 4 hours). You will have the chance to take lunch on your own. We will reach Sassnitz around 1.30pm. Coach transfer to Stralsund. Boarding the boat. Settling into your cabin. Free afternoon. Back on board. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the crew in the lounge, followed by dinner. Overnight stopover.

Day 3: Stralsun - Island of Rügen - Greifswald

Breakfast on board. Morning devoted to the optional tour of Stralsund. A medieval town on the Baltic coast, Stralsund was an important commercial centre for the Hanseatic League in the 14th and 15th centuries. Back on board by 11.30am. Lunch. In the afternoon, departure by coach for the optional excursion to the island of Rügen*. The biggest island in Germany. The steep chalky coastline is the symbol of Rügen, a rugged yet enchanted island in the Baltic Sea; landscapes of dunes, reminiscent of the desert, are typical of Sylt, a much loved island in the North Sea. Discover magnificent landscapes and the splendour of nature. Back on board at 6.00pm. Departure of the cruise for Greifswald/Wieck which we will reach at the end of the evening. Dinner on board. Overnight stopover.

Day 4: Greifswald - Wolgast - Usedom

After breakfast on board, departure by coach for the optional tour of Greifswald, a town which has lost none of its authenticity. You will discover its principal monuments, such as the Town Hall (1738), the merchants' houses, St Nicolas cathedral, which is 100 m high. Back on board at 11.30am and departure of the cruise for Wolgast . Lunch during the cruise. We will sail by Peenemünde , a town situated on the Baltic Sea and the Peene estuary on the Island of Usedom, and will reach Wolgast around 2.30pm. Departure by coach for the optional excursion to the island of Usedom, one of the biggest islands in Germany. A nature reserve protects its white sandy beaches, its forests, its peat bogs and its lakes. Its remarkable seaside architecture has been conserved. Back on board. Dinner and “pirate” evening on board. Overnight stopover in Wolgast.

Day 5: Wolgast - Szczecin (Poland)

Departure early in the morning. Breakfast during the cruise. We will cross the impressive port of Szczecin . Arrival in Szczecin around noon. Lunch on board. Afternoon devoted to the optional guided tour of Szczecin, a port city rich in remarkable traditions and history. The diversity of its heritage, which includes a number of ancient, and more modern, edifices, makes this a very exciting and attractive city. Back on board. Dinner and overnight stopover.

Day 6: Szczecin - Lunow - Lichtergelder

Breakfast during the cruise. Morning's sailing for Lunow. Lunch on board. Take advantage of the exceptional view that this cruise offers us. We will be crossing the Oder valley national park, a splendid panorama, to reach Lunow around 2.00pm. Starting point for the optional excursion to the Cistercian monastery of Chorin**. At the edge of the vast moors of the Schorfheide classed as a world biosphere reserve by UNESCO, towers one of the most beautiful Gothic edifices in Brandeburg, Chorin Abbey. Back on board in Oderberg and continuation of the cruise. We will take the boat lift in Niederfinow, an extraordinary metal construction which was built between 1927 and 1934. Dinner and gala evening on board. Arrival in Lichterfelder late in the evening. Overnight stopover. 

Day 7: Lichterfelder - Henningsdorf - Berlin - Spandau

Departure early in the morning towards Henningsdorf. Breakfast during the cruise. Morning's sailing. We will reach Henningsdorf around 11.00am. Lunch on board. Optional guided tour of Berlin. A city rich in art treasures with numerous prestigious museums. With its intense intellectual and artistic life, Berlin attracts visitors enamoured of culture and sensitive to the geopolitical changes of the 20th century. Berlin, which was long divided, illustrating the division of the world into two blocks, is now a metropolis blessed with modern urban planning and a dynamic economic and cultural life. The city's situation at the heart of greater Europe and its role as capital of Germany once more will guarantee its growing international influence. During the excursions, the boat will sail to Berlin-Spandau. Back on board. Dinner and free evening.

Day 8: Berlin (Disembarkation)

Buffet breakfast on board and disembarking around 9.00am. End of our journey.
