Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1 - Saturday: Embark in Amsterdam
Your ship’s crew welcomes you on board from 15.00hrs. You have a chance to explore your „floating hotel“, before our Welcome Cocktail and first dinner on board. After dinner there is the chance to take a relaxing canal cruise along the canals of the city centre.
Day 2 - Sunday: Amsterdam/Utrecht
After breakfast we invite you to join us on a city tour which includes a visit of the Rijksmuseum, housing a huge collection of Dutch art, from early religious works to painters of the "Golden Age", such as Rembrandt ("Night Watch"), Vermeer, Van Gogh and many others.
3rd April – 1st May: Every spring the Keukenhof Gardens are a feast for the eyes, as millions of tulips and other bulbs are in full flower in this 34 hectare park set against a magnificent background of modern and traditional landscape architecture (bookable only on board)
From 8th May onwards: The excursion to North Holland – a long peninsula between the North Sea and the Ijsselmeer - takes you to the Open Air Museum at Zaanse Schans, which has a collection of traditional wooden buildings, attractive gardens, small bridges, craftsmen’s workshops, old windmills and inviting small shops. Cheesemakers and shoemakers demonstrate their traditional craft. We call in at the „cheese town“ of Edam, before returning to the ship (bookable only on board).
The coach then takes us on to Utrecht, where the ship is waiting.

Day 3 - Monday: Cologne
We arrive in Cologne during the afternoon and invite you to participate in a guided walk in the city centre. Cologne has a history going back over 2000 years, traces of which are visible at various points in the city. The Cathedral dominates the city and should not be missed.
Day 4 - Tuesday: Cochem
We arrive during the afternoon in Cochem. Why not join our guided coach tour along the Moselle (bookable only on board)? We get an impression of the attractive landscape with its many neat little towns. During the evening we sail back to Winningen / Koblenz, where we tie up overnight.
Day 5 - Wednesday: Rüdesheim
Today we recommend you stay on the Sun Deck, so as not to miss this fascinating stretch of the Rhine, as we pass castles and ruins, idyllic villages and steep vineyards, as well as the mighty Loreley Rock, which has inspired so many artists and poets, and the delicate Mouse Tower. We arrive in Rüdesheim in the evening, giving you a chance, before dinner, to visit Siegfried’s Music Cabinet with its 350 automated musical instruments (bookable only on board). You can also stroll along the famous „Drosselgasse“, with its many wine bars and international clientele.
Day 6 - Thursday: Heidelberg (disembark in Worms and re-embark in Speyer)
Around midday we make a brief stop in Worms to disembark those taking the excursion to Heidelberg. Heidelberg is one of Germany’s loveliest cities with its blend of castle, old quarter and river, all embedded in the surrounding hills. It inspired poets and painters in the Romantic era and continues to fascinate the millions of visitors from all over the world, as they stroll along the Main Street to the Church of the Holy Ghost and admire the Bridge Gate and the old bridge spanning the River Neckar. We rejoin the vessel in Speyer.
Day 7 - Friday: Strasbourg
We leave Speyer during the night to arrive in Strasbourg around midday. We invite you to join our tour of the city, partly by coach and partly on foot. The city centre is a UNESCO Heritage Site, with its network of narrow streets and small squares and its city palaces. One highlight is the Gothic Cathedral of the Virgin Mary with its abundance of statues, its glorious west window and its two towers (one complete and the other unfinished). The other highlight is "La Petite France". The many half-timbered buildings once housed craftsman’s and tanners’ workshops. Today they are home to a range of restaurants and souvenir shops. During the evening we set sail for Basel and enjoy the festive Captain’s Dinner.
Day 8 - Saturday: Disembark in Basel
After a last breakfast on board we invite you to join our city tour of Basel. We show you the well preserved old town with its city gates, the university and the Town Hall. It is then time to take our leave and travel home with many pleasant memories.
