Individual arrival in Budapest. Embarkation on the River Cloud ii at 16.00 hours.
Day 2 - Budapest
City tour*. Large areas of Budapest are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These include the buildings on both banks of the river, a particularly impressive sight when leaving Budapest by boat.
Day 3 - Bratislava
City tour with concert in the old town*. Bratislava is the only capital city in the world to border two neighbouring countries – Hungary and Austria. Hungarian kings were crowned in its cathedral, and citizens would seek refuge in its fortress as long ago as the 10th century AD. Today, the city is opening up in all directions, and is self-confidently located in the heart of Europe.
Day 4 - Vienna
City tour with exclusive attic tour of St Stephen’s Cathedral*. Austria’s capital city provides the perfect setting no matter what your artistic or cultural tastes may be. The attic of a cathedral must surely be one of the most unusual insights into a city. In the evening: option to attend various concerts**.
Day 5 - Vienna
Visit to the morning training session at the Spanish Riding School, with exclusive reception and tour of the Hofburg Palace*. In the 16th century, a form of riding came into being that is still practised today, according to the classical rules. In the evening: option to attend various concerts**.
Day 6 - Dürnstein/Melk
Dürnstein: Walking tour of the town with wine-tasting*. Whilst the small town of Dürnstein has only 1000 inhabitants, it does have considerably more vines, which have been grown here for centuries. It is considered to be the heart of the Wachau region. This is a flourishing landscape, which when viewed from the yacht proves to be an idyllic panorama of villages, orchards and vineyards. Melk: Visit to the Baroque Melk Abbey*. The Benedictine Abbey at Melk is often described as the soul of the Wachau region: It has been a spiritual centre of worship since the Middle Ages.
Day 7 - Passau
City tour including organ concert in the cathedral*. Vienna is not the only city to have a St Stephen’s Cathedral – Passau has also dedicated its place of worship to the same saint. The cathedral is the largest Baroque church north of the Alps, and is home to the world’s largest organ.
