Day 2 Breisach, Germany & Strasbourg, France
Excursion to Colmar in the Alsace region*
Colmar is a romantic little town. Its intricate timber facades are decorated with pictures and carvings and there are plants and flowers on all the balconies and window ledges. |
Day 3 Strasbourg, France
City tour with boat trip through "Petite Farnce" and tour of the famous cathedral*
Strasbourg Cathedral, built of the shimmering red sandstone of the Vosges, is a Gothic masterpiece and a focal point of the old part of the city, shich is protected by UNESCO. The former tanners' and fishmongers districts of the town are known as "Petite France". |
Day 4 Mannheim, Gernsheim, & Ruedesheim, Germany
Overland tour to Heidelberg*
Heidelberg Castle was destroyed by Louis XIV. However, because this former residence of electors is still beautiful even in ruins, it has become World Famous. At approximately 12:30 you will re-embark in Gernsheim.
Visit to Eberbach Monastery with wine-tasting and concert*
The Eberbach Monastery offers a very special kind of wine-tasting. Take a stroll around as you taste the precious drops from the monastery's own cellars.

Day 5 Ruedesheim & Koblenz, Germany
No other rock in Germany could be quite as famous as the Loreley. Yet this is just one of the many highlights of our trip as the river yacht glides past idyllic river banks, castles and palaces.
Excursion to Eltz Castle*
The castle that stands guard over Koblenz has belonged to the Eltz family for more than 800 years - spanning 33 generations.

Day 6 Koblenz & Cologne, Germany
City tour of Cologne including visit to Cologne Cathedral*
In AD 50 Cologne was acknowledged as a city by its then rules, the Romans. This was a great honour, considering it was located north of the Alps. The famous cathedral owes it construction to the relics of the Three Wise Men. |
Day 7 Amsterdam, Netherlands
City tour by canal boat and visit to the Rijksmuseum*
You will immediately feel at home in the capital city of the small kingdom of the Netherlands. Here, everything is compact and close together, so it is easy to explore by foot. A canal tour through the city is a good way of getting a first impression. |
