Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Saturday- Travel to Prague and embark
In Prague the ship’s crew bids you a hearty welcome on board at 15.00 hrs. There is now an opportunity to explore your floating hotel. The ship remains overnight in Prague.
Day 2: Sunday- Prague
Our tour of the “Golden City” begins after breakfast. We see its beautiful, historic buildings, as history is brought to life. Prague was once the capital of the Holy Roman Empire and thus the cultural centre of Europe. We trace the steps of the ancient rulers and admire the fine villas and the world-famous Wenceslas Square. Our ship has meanwhile cast off and stops to pick up the excursionists further downstream. We then cruise to Litomerice for an overnight stop.
Day 3: Monday- Bad Schandau / Dresden
During the early afternoon we arrive in Bad Schandau, starting point for our excursion through Saxon Switzerland, which includes a visit to the Bastei rock tower, before taking us to the palace park in Pillnitz (bookable only on board). On the tour you will gain an impression of the narrow gorges and bizarre sandstone cliffs and enjoy views of the Elbe Valley and the surrounding landscape. The park in Pillnitz invites you to a very pleasant stroll, before we rejoin the ship in Dresden.
Day 4:Tuesday- Dresden
After breakfast we start our coach tour of Dresden, nicknamed “Florence of the Elbe”. After lunch we offer an optional excursion to the attractive castle at Moritzburg (bookable only on board).
Day 5: Wednesday- Dresden / Meissen
We leave Dresden around midday to arrive in Meissen in the early afternoon.
Our excursion here (bookable only on board) takes us to the porcelain factory to learn something about how it is made and to visit the exhibition with its magnificent collection of Meissen ware. We then have time for a stroll through the very attractive town centre.

Day 6: Thursday- Wittenberg
We set sail during the night to reach Wittenberg around midday. Our afternoon walk through the town centre follows the footsteps of the Reformer Martin Luther. In the early evening we set sail again for Magdeburg.
Day 7: Friday- Magdeburg
After breakfast we offer a tour through this historic state capital of Sachsen-Anhalt. We visit the market square, which bears the landmark of the city – the gilded statue of the Magdeburg Rider, and then enter the mighty cathedral. On our return we set sail again for the last time to head for Potsdam. We recommend you stay on the Sun Deck to appreciate the attractive riverside landscape.
Day 8: Saturday- Potsdam
It is time to say farewell to the ship after a final breakfast on board. You will disembark from your ship with many happy memories as your individual onward journey commences.
