Detailed itinerary:

Program Date: July 23- July 30,2011

Day 1: Mainz, Germany
Individual arrival in Mainz. Embarkation on the River Cloud II at 16:00 hours.

Day 2: Worms - Rudesheim, Germany

Overland trip to Heidelberg*

The city's trademark is perhaps the most famous ruin in Germany: Heidelberg Castle. Many generations of young students, Nobel prize winners, famous poets, thinkers, and painters have wandered the streets of its old town by the Rhine Neckar.

Visit to Vollrads Castle with wine tasting and concert*

Vollrads Castle boasts the title of one of the oldest wine estate in Germany. Today, it is a member of the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates (VDP) and bear its very own name.

Day 3: Rudesheim - Koblenz- Alken - Cochem

The banks of the Rhine between Rudesheim and Koblenz, around 67 kilomtres( 42 miles) in length, are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vine-covered hillside, numerous castle ruins, small wine villages and last but not the least, the Loreley are the epitiome of Rhine romanticism.

Overland trip to Eltz Castle *

Eltz Castle towers picturesquely above a tributary stream of the Moselle. It is a romantic fairy-tale castle and one of the most magnificent in Germany. Re-embarkation following excursion.

Day 4: Cochem - Zell

City tour with Reischburg Castle *

Grandiose Reichsburg Castle was almost completely destroyed in 1689 and was only later rebuilt in 1866, during the Romantic period, by a private individual from Berlin, who turned it into a summer home for himself and his family.

Day 5: Zell - Berkanstel - Traben-Trarbach

Excursion to Trier *

Trier lays claim to the title of the oldest town in Germany. Its many impressive buildings dating back to Roman times are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 6: Traben-Trarbach - Koblenz

The River Cloud II glides leisurely down the Moselle. You can play shuffleboard on the sun deck, read a book, engage in lively conversation or simply watch the landscape go by.

Day 7: Koblenz

Visit to the Federal Horticultural Show 2011, including a cable car trip *
The Federal Horticultural Show has been created in close cooperation with the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Witnesses to over 2,000 years of history in the city form a worthy setting for flowers and greenery, skillfully orchestrated by landscape gardeners.

Day 8: Koblenz, Germany

9:00am disembarkation. Individual departure.

River cruise in the booked cabin category, welcome champagne in your cabin, all meals (six per day) from early-bird breakfast to the exquisite 4-course evening menu with a choice of three options, 2 five-course gala dinners during the trip, vintage wines from reputable vineyards or beer at lunch and with the evening meal, all softdrinks throughout the cruise, all alcohol-free tea and coffee specialties, mineral water on the excursions, fresh fruit basket in your cabin (replenished daily), free use of bicycles available on board for land excursions, English-speaking tour guide and port fees.
