Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Budapest, Hungary (Embarkation)
Individual arrival in Budapest. Embarkation on the RCII at 16.00 hours. We depart for Bratislava at 17.00 hours. The beautiful river banks of the city of Budapest will leave you with a unique overall impression as we leave the city.
Day 2: Bratislava, Slovakia
City tour with concert in the old town.*
In Bratislava, four impressive bridges cross the Danube, which us up to 300 metres (330 yards) wide at this point. Bratislava has always been a city of borders and bridges. Its symbol, an old fortress, still exists today.
Day 3: Vienna, Austria
City tour with exclusive attic tour of St. Stephen Cathedral.*
Vienna is famous for its imperial palaces, the Prater Park and the cathedral, as well as its cultural scene. Concerts take place every day and the museums house top-class works of art. In the evening: option to attend various concerts. **
Day 4: Vienna, Austria
Visit to the morning training session of the Spanish Riding School, exclusive reception and tour of the Hofburg Palace.*
The Hofburg was the main residence of the imperial family for 600 years. During this time, a city within the city arose, for almost every ruler added a new part to the building. In the evening: option to attend various concerts.**
Day 5: Durnstein, Austria - Melk, Austria
Durnstein - Walking tour of the town with wine tasting.**
Romantically dominated by castle ruins, Durnstein lies in the middle of orchards and vineyards. Passage through the Wachau region. A section of some 30 kilometres(18 miles) of the river has been designated a Site of Natural and Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
Melk - Visit to the baroque Melk Abbey.*
The abbey's bright yellow and orange facade is visible from miles away. Yet the exterior grandeur of the Benedictine monastery is by far surpassed by its interior.
Day 6: Passau, Germany
City tour including organ concert in the cathedral .*
St. Stephen's Cathedral in Passau is a baroque episcopal church, which has the largest cathedral organ in the world.
Day 7: Regensburg, Germany
City tour including the Palace of St. Emmeram .*
The Palace of St. Emmeram, residence of the Thurn and Taxis royal family, is a former monastery and one of the largest palaces in Europe still to be inhabited.
Day 8: Nuremberg, Germany (Disembarkation)
09.00 hours disembarkation. Individual departure.
