The Armada of Rouen provides a unique opportunity to discover the most beautiful and the largest sailboats, the most modern warships and other exceptional boats from around the world.
Detailed Itinerary:
DAY 1: PARIS (Embarkation)
We meet in Paris at the Quai de Grenelle prior to embarkation. Cabins will be available from 6:00pm. We are introduced to the crew over a welcome drink in the lounge/bar. After dinner in the on-board restaurant, we have a traditional evening of entertainment with a Titi Parisen or “Parisian Street Urchin” theme. The ship sets sail during the night.
DAY 2: LES ANDELYS - ROUEN - ARMADA*
We have buffet breakfast on board as we spend the morning cruising towards les Andelys. During our cruise, we have a magnificent view of the Roche Guyon. We arrive in les Andelys around 1.30 pm and set off on our optional excursion to the chateau at Martainville, the sumptuous second home of a 15th century banker. Today the chateau houses the Museum of Norman Art and Traditions and has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1951. Here we find a unique collection of furniture and other artefacts from Upper Normandy which traces the evolution of styles from the 15th to the 19th century. There are displays relating to the history of textiles and costumes in Normandy, Norman tin and pewter ware, Rouen china and painted boxes, which are so authentically presented that we feel almost transported back to the past as if by time machine. Truly an exceptional journey back through time. We head by coach to Elbeuf where we return on board around 6.30pm. Dinner on board followed by evening of entertainment as we cruise or free time in Rouen to admire the wonderful sailboats participating in the Armada, while strolling along the quayside and enjoying the fireworks. During the night, heading towards Honfleur.

DAY 3: HONFLEUR - CAUDEBEC-EN-CAUX
We have buffet breakfast on board. We spend the whole morning on an optional guided walking tour of Honfleur, the most picturesque of fishing ports, located at the mouth of the Seine where it flows into the English Channel. After lunch on board, we have an optional excursion by coach to the Côte d’Albâtre (Alabaster Coast), the natural heritage site of the Pays de Caux (Caux country) and the Seine Estuary, including Etretat, Yport, Fécamp, which are all absolutely wonderful tourist spots that you will see in a completely different light after this cruise.
Or join a full-day optional excursion (lunch included) to the Landing Beaches (available for advance bookings only and for a minimum of 30 people). One of the great turning points of the 20th century happened in France during the D-Day Landings of the Allied Forces in Normandy. Our tour takes us to all the main sites of the D-Day Landings in June 1944: the Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Coleville sur Mer etc. We then visit Arromanches 360° to watch a film in a circular theatre of nine screens before returning to Honfleur via Gold Beach, Juno Beach and Sword Beach . The coach arrives back in Honfleur in the early evening. We return on board for dinner and moor for the night.
DAY 4: HONFLEUR - CAUDEBEC-EN-CAUX - ROUEN - ARMADA
We have buffet breakfast on board and arrive in Caudebec around 8am. This morning is spent on an optional guided trip to discover the route des abbayes (or abbeys trail), beginning with the abbey of Saint-Wandrille (ourdoor). We continue to Jumièges where we find the ruins of one of the most beautiful abbeys in all of France, as well as the church of Saint Pierre. We return on board in Rouen around midday and have lunch on board. This afternoon, we have an optional guided tour of Rouen. Or free time to visit the numerous sailboats tied up along the quaysides of Rouen.We return on board and set sail again, heading back to Paris. Tonight we are treated to a Gala Dinner and an evening of music and entertainment on board. We continue our journey through the night.

DAY 5: ROUEN - PARIS
We have buffet breakfast on board as we spend the morning cruising towards Paris . We pass the towns of Poissy with its fine Old Bridge where the banks of the Seine have been beautifully landscaped, Conflans-Sainte-Honorine and Chatou, a very important location in the history of Impressionism, before we reach the outskirts of Paris. As we arrive, we cruise past the futuristic district of La Défense with its most impressive concrete and glass architecture. We arrive in the early afternoon and have an optional guided visit of Paris. Dinner on board this evening is followed by a “Paris by night” cruise.
DAY 6: PARIS (Disembarkation)
After breakfast on board, we disembark around 9:00am. End of our journey.
