Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Bordeaux (Embarkation) - Cussac-Fort-Médoc

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail and enjoy our first evening together. Our ship will begin to cruise to Cussac-Fort-Médoc. We’ll begin on the Garonne River, before entering the Gironde River, where we’ll pass the islands of Cazeau and Patiras before reaching Cussac-Fort-Médoc.

Day 2: Cussac-Fort-Médoc

This morning, we offer two excursions:

CLASSIC: Tour through the Médoc vineyards. 

DISCOVERY: Helicopter flight over the Médoc and tasting.

Excursion common for both excursions packages: Royan and its waterfront.

Enjoy some free time before returning to the ship. After your expedition, you’ll return on board the ship. Join us for an evening of dinner and dancing.

Day 3: Royan - Rochefort - La Rochelle - Royan

Excursion common for both Classic and Discovery excursions packages: The seaside cities of Rochefort and La Rochelle. We’ll leave by coach for Rochefort. Rochefort was originally chosen by Jean-Baptiste Colbert as a refuge, defense, and supply post for the French Navy back in the mid-1660s. We’ll stop  for lunch in a local restaurant. The over 1,000-year-old city of La Rochelle is the capital of the Charente Maritime. It’s tucked along the Bay of Biscay and contains some of the most beautiful natural and architectural heritage in the area. Enjoy some free time before returning to the ship. After we return on board, we’ll spend the rest of our day cruising up the Dordogne to Libourne.

Day 4: Libourne* - Bordeaux

*Note: Depending on the tide, stopover in Libourne maybe replaced by Bourg.

This morning, join us on an excursion common for both Classic and Discovery excursions packages: Saint-Émilion. We’ll enjoy a tasting of local products at the end of our tour.* We’ll return to the ship in Libourne and spend the afternoon cruising to Bordeaux.

Excursion common for both excursions packages: Guided tour of Bordeaux "by night". We’ll leave by coach for a panoramic tour of the city, where you’ll be able to discover the main monuments, followed by a tour on foot of the old quarter of Bordeaux. After your expedition, you’ll return on board the ship. 

Day 5: Bordeaux - Cadillac

We’ll cruise along the Garonne, getting a good glimpse of Bordeaux from the water as we continue on to Cadillac. This morning, we offer two excursions:   

CLASSIC: a visit to the magnificent and prestigious Château de Roquetaillade.

DISCOVERY: Gourmet market in Cadillac.

We’ll spend the afternoon cruising to Bordeaux, and we’ll arrive during the evening. Tonight is our festive gala evening.

Day 6: Bordeaux

Excursion common for both excursions packages: To the center of Arcachon Bay.  

OR

This morning, we offer two excursions:   

CLASSIC: Guided tour of Bordeaux,  whose historical area is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DISCOVERY: Visit La Cité du Vin.

Lunch will be served on board. Enjoy some free time on your own in the city this afternoon.

Join us for dinner and an evening of entertainment.

Day 7: Bordeaux (Disembarkation)

Enjoy breakfast on board this morning before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.

Advisements:

  • A valid passport is required for travel. Passports must be valid at least 6 months after the last day of travel.
  • Please check visa requirements with your local consulate(s); responsibility for obtaining visas rests with the traveler.
  • For reasons of navigation and passenger safety, the cruise operator and the Captain of the ship reserve the right to modify the itinerary of the cruise .
  • The cruise schedule may vary according to tides and arrival times at ports of call may be subject to change.
  • Until further notice, it is only possible to select one of the 2 excursions packages on offer. You will thus only be able to book the Classic Package OR the Discovery Package. Please advise at the time of booking the excursion package you wish to choose.
