Detailed Itinerary: Amsterdam to Antwerp (AAV)

Day 1: Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Embarkation)

Embarkation in Amsterdam is scheduled between 5:00-6:00 pm. Time is allowed to settle into the cabins before the introduction of the crew.  There is also a special cocktail reception that takes place prior to dinner on board. After dinner, there is an optional river boat cruise by night through the canals of Amsterdam. Overnight in Amsterdam.

Day 2:  Amsterdam

Breakfast on board followed by a sightseeing tour of Amsterdam (optional) calling in at a diamond merchant’s workshop. Back to the ship for lunch before leaving on an afternoon excursion (optional) to Volendam, a traditional Dutch village then on the Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum and admire over a hundred typical wooden houses, windmills and warehouses dating back to 17th and 18th centuries. Return on board for dinner before enjoying a free evening or ask to be dropped off in the city centre and take a stroll through the famous Red Light District.

Day 3: Amsterdam - Keukenhof Gardens - Rotterdam

After breakfast, cruise towards Utrecht, where we will reach around noon. Lunch on board. The afternoon will be devoted to the optional visit of the Keukenhof Gardens. Meanwhile the ship will sail to Rotterdam where we will join it later this afternoon. Dinner and gala evening on board. Overnight in Rotterdam .

Day 4: Antwerp, Belgium

Early morning start cruising towards Antwerp, passing the town of Dordrecht, where the ship enters the Holland Diep (inland sea) passing the locks in Volkerak and Kreekak before crossing the Dutch-Belgian border then on to Antwerp, which is the second biggest harbour in the world after Rotterdam where some of the word’s largest sea-going vessels are anchored. Dinner on board then enjoy a free evening in Antwerp.

Day 5: Antwerp (Disembarkation)

Disembarkation in Antwerp takes place after breakfast is served on board the ship.

Detailed Itinerary: Antwerp to Amsterdam (ANV)

Day 1: Antwerp (Embarkation)

Boarding around 6.00pm in Antwerp. Settling into your cabin. Presentation of the crew and welcome cocktail. Dinner on board and exploration of the old city in the company of our hostess.

Day 2: Antwerp - Rotterdam

Departure of the boat early in the morning. Breakfast. We will be sailing in the port of Antwerp, the second largest port in the world after Rotterdam. Our cruise will cross small inland seas and immense locks to reach Rotterdam around 4.00pm. This is a day steeped in the sailing experience. Lunch on board. Gala evening and dinner.

Day 3: Rotterdam - Amsterdam

After breakfast, departure of the boat for Utrecht. Lunch. Departure for the optional excursion to the Keukenhof Gardens. The largest park in the world devoted to flowers which grow from bulbs. The flowerbeds sit in a natural decor where tulips, narcissi, hyacinths, and many others compete with each in the beauty stakes. During this time, the boat will continue to Amsterdam where you will rejoin it at the end of the afternoon. Dinner on board followed by an optional tour of Amsterdam by night in a river boat.

Day 4: Amsterdam

Breakfast on board. In the morning, an optional guided tour of Amsterdam and its diamond merchants. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, optional excursion to Volendam, a traditional village, and the Zaanse Schans. This open air museum has 120 wooden houses, windmills and warehouses from the 17th and 18th centuries. Back to the boat for dinner. Free evening or optional trip to the city centre for a stroll around the Red Light District.

Day 5: Amsterdam (Disembarkation)

Breakfast on board. Disembarkation. End of our journey.
