Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Amsterdam (Embarkation)
Boarding Amsterdam between 5:00pm and 6:00pm. Settling into your cabin. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the crew. Dinner on board. Optional tour of the old city of Amsterdam by river boat . When you return, departure of the ship toward Kinderdijk.
Day 2: Kinderdijk - Rotterdam - Nijmegen
Arrive early morning Kinderdijk. Buffet breakfast on board. Optional excursion to the windmills of Kinderdijk. This is the only place where you can see so many mills combined. This is one reason why the mills of Kinderdijk are world heritage of humanity since 1997. Back on board for lunch and continue the cruise to Nijmegen. Depending on the tide, sail to the port of Rotterdam. We will follow the largest European port, Rotterdam, and the cities of Oude Maas, Spijkenisse. Dinner on board followed by a lively evening. We will reach Nijmegen in the night.
Day 3: Nijmegen - Cologne
Buffet breakfast on board. Free time or optional visit to the Kröller Müller museum. Located in the National Park Hoge Veluwe, the museum brings together the biggest names in modern painting and sculpture. A large collection of Van Gogh stands next to Picasso or the Impressionists. Back on board for lunch and continue the cruise to Cologne. Afternoon relaxing on board. We pass the towns of Wesel, walled Hanseatic City in Duisburg, the largest inland port in Europe, Krefeld city of silk and many others. Dinner on board followed by dancing. Night navigation.
Day 4: Cologne - Koblenz
Arrive early morning Cologne. Buffet breakfast on board. Optional guided tour of Cologne. Rhine metropolis located in the Rhine valley between the "seven mountains" (Siebengebirge) and the Eifel, it moves to the rhythm of its 2000 year history. The magnificent Gothic cathedral, surmounted by two towers overlooking the city so unique. You will discover the old town, Hotel de Ville, the Jewish quarter, the Romanesque church St Martin le Grand and the fish market. Back on board in the late morning. Continuation of the cruise for Koblenz. Afternoon of browsing. We pass Bonn, birthplace of Beethoven, and the castle of Koenigswinter Drachenburg the Rolandsbogen at Remagen. Dinner cruise. Arrive in Koblenz in the evening. Situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle, the ancient city two thousand years has maintained a rich cultural monuments and historic buildings. Free evening.
Day 5: Koblenz - The Romantic Rhine Valley - Rüdesheim - Boppard
Buffet breakfast on board and cruise departure towards Rüdesheim. We navigate the romantic Rhine valley, registered since 2002 as World Heritage by UNESCO. Lined with castles and medieval-type villages, the river winds through one of the most beautiful wine regions of Germany. Passage to the legendary rock of the Lorelei whose myth has always fascinated visitors worldwide. Lunch cruise. Arrive Rudesheim early in the afternoon. Free time or optional excursion: Departure by train, wine tasting and tour the museum of mechanical music. Admire one of the largest collections of mechanical musical instruments. Back on board in the afternoon and continuing the cruise for Boppard. Dinner on board. Boppard arriving in the evening. Old imperial city, Boppard has kept many testimonies of its past. After dinner, free time exploring the city or in the company of our hostess.
Day 6: Boppard - Düsseldorf
Departure of the cruise early. Buffet breakfast on board. Relaxing morning and animation. Lunch on board. Arrive early in the afternoon Düsseldorf. City of culture and fashion on the banks of the Rhine. Optional guided tour walk from Düsseldorf. The capital of North Rhine-Westphalia was born on a bank of the Rhine. Become a true regional economic power, the throne now straddles both sides. This dynamic city, modern, elegant, cosmopolitan and typically opens its doors, discover the luxurious Königsallee with its many shops, the "longest bar in the world" because of the incredible number of bars to drink beer inviting typical of the city and the "Altstadt", the area around the old town. Back on board for dinner followed by a lively evening.
Day 7: Düsseldorf - Amsterdam
We leave Düsseldorf at night. Navigation morning. Buffet breakfast and lunch cruise. Arrive early afternoon in Amsterdam. Optional guided tour of Amsterdam, Work of art where you can admire some of the finest architectural achievements of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Also known as the "Venice of the North", you will discover the uniqueness of this city, which mixes the old and new, for your enjoyment. Back on board for the gala dinner followed by a lively evening. Overnight stopover.
Day 8: Amsterdam (Disembarkation)
Disembarkation after buffet breakfast on board. End of our services.
